Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels. This week’s photo is of views over Nice, France. We kept hearing about Castle Hill while we were in Nice, but we just didn’t have the motivation to get our butts up there. A lot of it had to do with the days being rainy; we just didn’t think ... Every bit romantic.
From the streets of Paris to the small little countryside villages, France is as romantic as they say it is. Take in an opera performance, drive through the Pyrenees or simply enjoy a nice picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. Spend time to really dig deep in this country to truly appreciate it for what it is.
After spending a glorious four days in the French Riviera, I finally understood what all the fuss was about. With beaches, great food and French charm, if I lived in Europe, it would probably be my favorite getaway destination as well. As I mentioned before, we really didn’t do much in Nice, but after moving around every two days in Italy, it ... Read More »
Of course the French Riviera is known for its beaches and yacht clubs, but it’s also a dream destination for foodies! Walking through the narrow streets of Nice, it seemed every other shop was a cafe or a market selling local products. With four days to spend in Nice we actually didn’t do much, we just ate a lot. And boy ... Read More »
Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels. This week’s photo is of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Notre Dame is one of those places that almost everyone will seek out a visit to, regardless of it being touristy. The first time I laid eyes on the cathedral, I was cruising down the Seine. From my previous articles, it probably doesn’t sound like I enjoyed Paris, but that’s not the case at all! So today I’m going to show you one of the places I really enjoyed during our stay in Paris. Someone once told me that the romance of Paris won’t come alive until you visit with someone you love. Well, for Paris’s sake, I sure hope that’s true! People often go on and on about the romance of Paris, but is it really the most romantic city in the world? Maybe if you like being harassed by touts constantly and ... Read More »
Every Friday I’ll be sharing a photo from someplace in my travels. This week’s photo is of locks of love in Paris. Stretching across the Seine, the Pont des Arts has become known as one of the most romantic locations in Paris. Not because the views are spectacular or the bridge has some special story behind it, but because young couples ... Read More »
It’s all about location, location, location– and that’s exactly what you get at Citadines Prestige Saint-Germain-des-Prés. If you’ve never heard of the Citadines brand, then I’ve got a real treat for you today. Citadines are a line of so-called “Apart’hotels”, which are basically like serviced apartments. Think… spacious hotel rooms complete with kitchenettes. There are actually multiple Citnadines locations in ... Read More »
Out of our six weeks in Europe, Paris was the city we stayed the longest in with seven days to spend there. After realizing almost all the big tourist attractions cost a lot of money, I began to realize I’d have to pick and choose what to do in order to stay within my budget. Looking back at my time ... After visiting Disney theme parks in North America (US) and Asia (Hong Kong and Japan) there was only one continent I had yet to conquer: Europe. Thanks to Viator, this, of course, was quickly resolved as our first day in France was spent at–you guessed it– Disneyland Paris. Even after being kept up until 4am, I still woke up excited and ready ... Read More »
